Default Nice freebies from local barber

I went to my local old timer barber today and talked to him about straight shaving and he pulled out 3 nice old razors. He said many antique collectors asked him if he had any but he told no. He wanted them to go to somebody who will appreciate them.

The first os a nice Puma 6/8. It has a slight frown and the wrong scales (they are too short).

The second is an A. Witte German made. Has alot of hone wear but otherwise in good shape. I can actually shave with it now.

The 3rd is an F. Creutzburg and sons. From Philadelphia. It has a few nicks in the blade but thet can be honed out. Also has a chip in the one scale.

This nice old timer made my day. And reminded me there are nice people left in my area.

nice. I envy peoples abilities to get out and pick gems up. I live in a very remote area and have to do my razor shopping via the net. Some day I'll take a driving holiday and hit the vintage shops and flea markets. It's also great when people are nice just because they feel like it!
