Thread: Scale Replaced?

I took the scales off an Ern and they have a Pelican on them atleast that is what I think it is. Anyway never had a set like this and not sure if one of the scales was replaced cause the scale with the pelican on it is alittle longer and alittle thicker near the pivot pin. Looks to be thicker cause the neck of the bird creates a raised ridge that wraps around. The grain look on the scales goes in opposite directions of each other. The holes line up and the razor fit really nice. I have seem some pictures of the same scales, but some were fused together at the wedge end. Mine aren't and looks to be a spacer not a wedge. I was thinking maybe they split apart and sanded flat cause there are rough spots where the wedge goes, but alot of scales I have taken apart were rough at the wedge end. Either way I think they are going back together since they don't really look bad. I was just curious if anyone with the same type of scales would know if that is how they are supposed to be.
