I can answer this from a client perspective. For me watching Mastro Livi actually inscribing his name onto my razor in front of me was a very special experience. Much more so than just a stamp being put on.Quote:

Yesterday I went to Culter Expo in Novegro (Milan, Italy) and had a great time in company of Mastro Livi and his family as well as stefanosup and his son. (I guess stefanosup's son is going to hate me because of the very long chat we had about food and cooking... ;) )
It was also exciting to see the Grifetto straight razor presented for the first time in a public exhibition and I am sure stefanosup is now happy for having took his own home. As a matter of fact, in that occasion I have seen other wet shavers buying Grifetto and they welcomed it warmly. They like it!
Grifetto seems to be the right successor of the world famous "New Grind", now discontinued because Mastro Livi does not have those blanks anymore.
Grifetto is a truly different razor from the "New Grind", as it is made from stainless steel (New Grind's blanks were made from carbon steel) and blanks are personally made by Mastro Livi with a completely different process having nothing in common with the "old New Grind".
I would like to share with you all some pictures I took yesterday at the Culter Expo. By the way: Mastro Livi's Giant Razor has received a gigantic success! Everyone passing by, stopped and admired with evident surprise the giant masterpiece.

The giant and the dwarf, that is father and infant. Mastro Livi was probably not happy for having made the giant straight razor and he wanted to replicate the very same razor in "dwarf size". In the background the screen in which was displayed my video about the making of this giant masterpiece.

The other face of Grifetto: satin finish, however as beautiful as the mirror polished version.
Even I was in Milan yesterday with Razorguy and Mastro Livi. Last night, the first shave with the "Grifetto," a razor effective that is very suitable for those who want to start shaving with the ML. Soft, gentle, effective and deep, I think it's a worthy heir to the "new grind", except that stainless steel is used so much more 'easy to maintain without corrosion.

I love honing the German blades I have with shoulderless design like that. Just incredibly easy to hone.
Grifetto is also meant to be a razor suitable for beginner wet shavers in order to comfortably introduce them into the world of straight razors. It is made from stainless steel - therefore reducing the effects of rust while making maintenance easy - and being shoulderless will certainly make honing easier.Quote:
