A new razor in my collection: Dovo 2Bismarck Pearl 6/8 Full Hollow, Round Point
Hello there Gentlemen,
last week I received this brand new razor as a gift. Although it has been honed by the seller - at least, I was told so - in my opinion he did not do a good job, however shaving quite well.
It is a Dovo 2Bismarck Pearl 6/8 Full Hollow, Round Point, belonging to the new "Bismarck era" after Dovo acquisition.
I must say, quality and shaving efficiency does not compare to the "old" Bismarck razors, however doing a very good job.
The first shave has been done with the original seller honing, it was quite good but not really nice, the second one after I personally honed it with a 8k Naniwa synthetic stone, Natural Chinese basalt stone, a good stropping with chromium oxide and a final stropping with a plain leather strop. Shaving was better, satisfactory for sure, however the old Bismarck is even better.
Any comment or feedback from other gentlemen using this very same razor?
I am also attaching some pictures of the razor:
