I couldn't answer that question if my life depended on it. I'm attached to so many of them, but basically my favorites are the 5/8, 6/8 range with tight scales and self-honed.

I ain't telling nobody nothing. I'll tell after I get a dozen of them.
Well: For me it isnīt the fancy scales nor isnīt it the etching on the blade or the width of the blade.I have some 30 - 40 blades in various shapes and fanciness .
My most cherished blade is no fancy thing at all. Itīs not even a heirloom. It is a Thomas Whatham & co.
This blade just sitts there and whenever I need it itīs there. Incredibly sharp and, most of all, always ready for action although it only gets a good stropping before an after each shave. This blade shaves silent and as said always ready.
A pure work horse that does the job and silently goes back into the stand. Just like a Shire horse.
It has never let me down. That is what I value the most.

It's the little Red Injun by boker. A gift from a friend. Oh the one on the right with yellow scales
My workhorses are Hart Steel, love them.
Collectables:
The one I could never give up would be this Ali's Blade chopper, and the H. Diamond #8000 that is on it's way.

The one in my avatar; my FIL's Boker.

Vdh soap I see, keep in my rotation as well
Yeah, I still use it. It's economical, I get a nice, slick lather with it. Can't see any reason not to.
Oh and how soft it leaves your skin
Would be these two for me, hands down.

Those sure are great looking scales...
This is my best shaving tool. It's been around, and had a little work done. Good balance and it holds a wonderfully sharp, smooth, edge.

I like it a lot. Great shaver.
Maciek.
The Duck and I haven't been on speaking terms for over a year now....Neville, the Wonderedge I have, keeps trying to broker a peace deal, then the Duck invaded Poland, and it all came crashing down - huge air battle over my razor chest, the Sheffields razors held it back...barely...now there's burning pre-shave oil everywhere....:(
Sharptonn
.I do not use them, but this pair of Nowills would be the last to go!
When you do let them go, here is a space in my collection for these razors!
My Grandfather, my Dad and both of my uncles worked at the Camel Laird shipyard opposite Liverpool on the River Mersey.
Fun thread! My fave by far is an "ancient" Tim Zowada--you can see it among the herd. Nate, Tim's son, said it was one of the first ones his dad made. Great piece of history. And a great shaver, of course.Attachment 195852
What a pleasure to read the story about members that rescued that beautiful silver number and kept it the hands of its owner. What an amazing community.
