Thanked: 734Dominator?
I've seen a few TI threads as of late and I too do not wish to hijack any of them. But with the win of my hockey team last week my sports bet should deliver me about $400 in winnings. I thought i'd buy a razor I would otherwise not be in the market for. I've wanted a TI since I started shaving with a straight. I've seen the posts about many of the problems some people are having with some TI razors but just as many posts about how great they are. I think I'm going forward with a TI purchase but have not settled on the exact razor. The Sparticus and Dreadnought seem to be popular but I see very little about the Dominator. I suppose the point could be the reason for why it seems less popular. But because I do maintain some facial hair, I do not prefer a round tip since I feel I am more accurate with square tip blades. The Dominator looks like a good option as well. But all of these TIs are expensive and I don't think I'll have the option to buy another anytime soon. So I'm looking to the rest of you for any first hand information about the choices I have available. Anyone have an opinion about the Dominator?

I don't have that model but I'd love to. Great point that one. Love the rams horn too.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Sorry, No dice here... I don't own any TIs and I too have heard mixed reviews. From what I gather however most of the ones with the issues were the standard production models that were made for the mass markets- ie AOS or standard 5/8, black handles models. Good luck with that!

Good taste OCD, go for it! With TI's reputation I am sure it won't let you down.
The hawks win a trophy and you win a trophy!I shave because I want to, not because I have to!
