Picked this one up a while ago and cant find much about them. One person was able to tell me what they are called and linked a little bit of their history. Apparently they were made by POWs during the Napoleonic wars?

I would get on that one & clean her up, she will last another 200 years.
Ive not had great luck with cleaning devils spit. Any great tips Hirlau? Other than the buckets of proraso you have? hahaQuote:

That how I clean most razors, im just concerned over how much devil spit there is on this piece. Maybe since its alot older/cool than I realized I will send it off to have it done up properly.
On this one it might be a good idea to send her off to a pro. If not for honing, then for ideas on preservation.
