When you do it, it works just like stropping. I had the same effects on 8k hone. The edge didn't passed HHT but when i did a few strokes in the stropping direction it passed HHT. But i'm not sure...

Usually i did no more than 50 laps. But i didn't refreshed the surface :gaah:
So i will try to do it properly on my other razor and see how it works.

I have similar issue with 12k hone. I don't know where it comes from. When i hone on 8k i get very good results and have good shaves. But when i try to polish the edge on 12k (after honing on 8k) it...
