I think after sharpening 10 razor i have find why people used soaps while they sharpen the razor.Actually in last stage of sharpening.

yes i did smell it . it smells like earth . no soap etc. i did sharpen 2 blade which is belong to srp member. why i choose them it was the best suet. 1 is hallow ground and another one is near wedge...

After keeping this stone 4 hours in distilled water and lapping 45 minutes until 1k i did test it again.
At first i have to say bubbles comes way less then it was before. if slurry is consentrated...

Oldengaerde this was bothering me some time. I got this couple weeks ago and when i start to use i just get confuse. what type edge it puts . feeling of the stroke is different then any other...

it has been lapped and used . it does always bubbles . as soon as it start to have slurry and bubbles start to come up.
How about if this stone has pores which is air in there when water touches to...

This is exactly what happens. i don't use any soaps stone just makes bubbles and i mean this is very nice finishing stone.This is the 1 of the best among 100 coticules i have seen.

I have find this stone and it does bubbling while i make slurry and strokes.It seems like soap. does anyone had similar experiment.
Stone does look like coticule a little different color and dots...
