My S30V knives were pretty easy to hone, from reprofiling to mirror polished edge. I don't think it would be too bad. I've done S90V and ZDP-189, those are worse than S30V, but wasn't too bad either....

Wow those razors are gorgeous! I'm definitely going for it. How is the edge retention on your S30V razors?

Has anyone tried S30V in a straight razor? How well would it work? It seems relatively fine-grained as far as stainless steel goes, and keeps an edge.

I'm thinking of grinding one and send it in...
