Ha! They finally copped to it. When I got mine, I KNEW it was a mixed brush, but Omega kept telling people it was a mix of special boar bristles. -

Fantastic brush, tiny size. it's actually a mix of boar and...something. I think badger, some people say "special boar hairs."
