that's funny...even though i'm breaking this brush in it didn't stop me from ordering a 1305

did a shave yesterday without the scuttle. just rested it on a mug between passes. held much more lather. gonna try in the morning with the scuttle and see. ah, the fun of figuring out something new!

OK. round two with the boar. Gave it just one shake after soaking and loaded more soap this time. added no water after building lather and achieved a much better result.

though on the last passes...

Yeah, it was the first time. before the second pass, I had to break out the soap and relather. didn't feel like doing it again for a third, so I cut it short.
