That's the beauty of the cold water shave is the low maintenance of it all. In old school times, without electricity or water heaters, what were they supposed to do? Boil water just for shaving?...

I hate to make it sound so simple, but just use cold water.
I soak my brush in cold water that I filled my shave bowl with. I pour out the water, put in my cream(from tube) and just make my lather....
