I understand the basics of what your saying, I don't understand how messed up the razor would have to be in order for it to fail the test.

And therefore the test only proves that the razor was hollow ground. How useless.

I still don't see how effective that test is. The steel would have to be incredibly brittle or incredibly soft to give a different result.

I'm sorry, but it doesn't. It only makes sense with full hollow razors. 1/4 hollow and thicker will not bend on your thumbnail. Its too thick, your nail will break before the razor will bend.

The blade bends because it is a hollow grind. Nothing fancy about it. They're saying that if your razor itsn't hollow ground or extra hollow ground, its crap. That is pure BS.

If that is true, then we are not experts.

Pure marketing ploy and clearly erroneous.
