A lot of these things are becoming collectable just like Escher stones are. There is a market of collectors out there too who don't even hone razors that collect Eschers which is why they are 700.00...

I have seen these sell for almost 300.00USD so that really isn't a bad price for what they are usually going for now a days.

Sniping doesn't drive up the market it's the people or collectors...
