    Have you tried skipping the bbw and just going...

    Have you tried skipping the bbw and just going from Sham's 3k to norton 8 k? Just curious...

    The first two years I learned to hone i used...

    The first two years I learned to hone i used dmt1200, bbw slurry, coticule with water. Then i got my norton and forgot about the bbw stone, its just so hard and slow for a sharpening step imo.
