That may be, but it's a heck of a lot less advanced than shaving the chin against the grain. The chin in general is an advanced area to shave.

You only mention going with and against the...
You only mention going with and against the grain; you might want to try a cross-grain pass on those areas that are giving you trouble. It does nearly as well, and is a lot easier to pull off...
