I think, considering that i go from a 6-8k translucent to the charnley, it probably would be a good idea to transition, with a slurry....i will try a couple blades this weekend.

I dont think ive tried the Charnleys, yet, with a slurry, but what if one used a slurry for a certain number of laps, then ran a number of laps on the charnley w/out slurry?

I cant speak for the others, but if i use a slurry on my Charnley, it basically removes the need to use my 8k(translucent), in the progression...this is why im pretty much decided on backing my...

Additionally, ive been considering cutting the spare Charnley to a 0.5 inch thickness and glueing it to an Arkansas Surgical Black or Translucent as a double sided stone...that way i would get two...
