Thaeris, looks can be deceiving but that first stone doesn't look that interesting.

Even if it was mined in Belgium it could have been cut to size and boxed in Germany.

doorsch, your stone is known as Fox Hone, Goldfisch Wetzstein and Lorraine. It's different from the purple French stones in this thread.

Wasn't the name Vosgienne coined for the purple Special Stones and la Lunes? At least that's how I remembered it.

Guillaume, that's definately a purple La Lune/Special Stone. They are very fine, enjoy!

The Lorraine layer was a BBW layer, sandwiched between 2 other BBW layers. Someone previously posted a picture of a La Lorraine that looks more like a regular BBW than a Fox/Goldfisch.

The first one looks just like a Goldfisch Wetzstein/ Fox Razor Hone. The second one does indeed look like my Special Stone, which has similar sawmarks.
