I'm curious as to edge holding for this blade as...
I'm curious as to edge holding for this blade as an indicator of success of heat treat, it's been a while now. I was wandering if Mike could update us yet about the time between honing sessions.

As a general rule, do edges that give the stone a hard time last any longer?
It seems to me as though harder edges should give more shaves before rehoning, guess its acheiving a balance and a matter... -

According to TZ it should look like satin, you shouldn't see anything that looks like sugar. This is why I think the coulor thing during ht can be a bit subjective.... -

I'm no electrician but was wandering if hooking up a dimmer switch into the line might be able to control the wheel speed, I know these grinders can use a no volt switch so they might turn off below...
