I thought this thread was about sharing experiences about various soaps.
How come all of a sudden not liking a soap is "hate"? I have not seen you defend other soaps that are in the 3rd or basement...

PAA is one of the worst soaps I have tried so far.
I have never seen a soap that makes lather that looks like it should , but has no cushion, glide or protection.

How hard is your water? What brush are you using?
I have very hard water and I get pretty good lather from Valobra, it is hard soap so it likes brushes with some backbone.

Tried Vito's Red (not sure which of the two kinds) , it is a top tier performer for me. Super easy to lather, makes tons of lather, does not dry on the face, and has good slickness.

I usually grate odd size pucks in empty soap tubs.

I really like how the Sandalwood smells. Just used the 1805 followed with Green Proraso AS, very nice match and a superb shave.

Yes it works pretty well for me, but I can't promote a low tier soap for performing with additives. It is still a low tier soap for me.

Stirling and Razorock XXX officially going in the "box" for me. No slickness whatsoever for me.

Hope you like it, I had the soft soap version but it did not perform as well as the hard soap.

If a synthetic could not manage usable lather then nothing would.

I had some play time with PannaCrema Namaste, and Valobra Fougere hard soap, both preform great for me. Those two are going in the first tier of soaps for me.

Obie I have tried for a while to get it going with various high quality brushes, it was a no go for me.

I have never been able to get a good lather from LPL. Same experience as yours.

I am testing Nuavia (vegan) and the original line (tallow) now.

Tabac is great. The scent can be too strong for some but I like it a lot.

Cold River Soap Works IMO is a second tier soap. If they can figure out their scents a bit then they may even get in the first tier for me.

LPL never worked for me, SV is works for me especially their last formulation. For me SV is a bit finicky with the water ratio and thus not top tier soap from that perspective.
