    I can't be sure but I doubt you will wear your DMt on any hone that is not diamond too. you are crating a light slurry not lapping so you will be fine.

    I use a 1.2k DMT for slurry on all my hones above...

    I use a 1.2k DMT for slurry on all my hones above 1k grit.
    Not all natural stones work well with Nagura for slurry. As far as I know Nakayama works fine with Nagura but Oohira Suita does not work...
