my only reason to use tomonagura is my honzan is similar in hadness to my bease stone, and takes forever to raise a good slurry.

I have never tried setting a bevel with naguras, but I believe JimR has tried and it takes quite a bit of time.

I used to use it a lot but recently I've been using tomonaguras exclusively.

Atoma is not good for honing razors, I personally use mine only for lapping.

After the tomonagura I went to water finish only.
