I wonder how did they came up with the number, naturals except coticule and maybe a fewothers have somewhat defined shape and measurable size, Everything else is flakes, so how do you decide the grit...

On pics Zulu gray may look like a Jnat but when you have it in your hands it will become apparent there can be no mistake which is which.

Jimmy try thicker slurry as well, I was not too happy with thin slurry, but when I got it a bit on the thick side and worked then diluted, I got really good edges.

If you get a 1.2k DMT and run it a few times on a 1k synthetic, it will be good to go.

I go to Zulu gray from 10k Super Stone and it works great, the edge is better than Escher and on par with a really good Jnat.

I did some testing of the Zulu gray in the days since I received it, the results were great.
I tested Sheffield steel, Solingen, Russian, Japanese and stainless on the stone, the resulting edges...

read my review, I jump on it from 10k SS and it works just fine.

it does not matter as long as it is very smooth when you use it, if you can get that with atoma after the DMT then go for it.
