    Mine is may be 3 years old now, it is more like...

    Mine is may be 3 years old now, it is more like 800 -1000 grit right now as far as cutting speed. I am not sure exactly how this works, but right now this is my favorite lapping and smoothing stone...

    325 will work, but be prepared to spend time, this is the hardest synthetics I have seen. It is great hone IMO.
