Read them both. I found the Baroque Cycle (Quicksilver, The Confusion and The System of the World) much more interesting, I will read those again, not so The Mongoliad.

I haven't read that one. I did read most of his other work though, a fantastic writer! Norwegian Wood, Dance dance dance, A Wild Sheep Chase ... wonderful novels !
