It's not a Escher as a Escher is a labeled thuringian, no label, no Escher...however your stone really looks like a thuringian. Does it easily raise a slurry? Have a pic of the stone with slurry?

Didn't take a pic, but touched up a little ivory...
Didn't take a pic, but touched up a little ivory scaled MAB with G20 & followed up with a thuri slurried coticule. Pretty good shave, but needed a little bit more. ONe more touch-up should have it...
