You have me curious Mike! I have a dark blue thuringerian that's a little harder than the Blue/Green Escher that I use. Did you raise the slurry with the rubbing stone or diamond card? I still bet...

It's not a Escher as a Escher is a labeled thuringian, no label, no Escher...however your stone really looks like a thuringian. Does it easily raise a slurry? Have a pic of the stone with slurry?

You are going to love that "green brick". It does great without slurry & if with it...depending on the blade and quickness of steel you are wanting to remove.

Didn't take a pic, but touched up a little ivory scaled MAB with G20 & followed up with a thuri slurried coticule. Pretty good shave, but needed a little bit more. ONe more touch-up should have it...
