I really doubt you could solder one back together...
I really doubt you could solder one back together without destroying the temper. One that is more broken on the tang than where the tang and blade join may be a possibility...

I don't know about straightening the tang, but i've only tried this once. Maybe there was a stressed point at one of the jibbs. Probably 5-6 hours of work here too...:

I did that to one that I had made about a month...
I did that to one that I had made about a month ago right after heat treatment & it broke about the same spot. Makes you sick doesn't it...
At least you have some nice scales for "standbye"....
