I actually agree that it would be more useful cut down...and much easier to lap the smaller ones. I've never had a need for any hone to be wider than 3" & many of my naturals are in the 2" +/- range.

Take it to a place that does marble & granite counter tops. They have the equipment and know-how to turn granite and marble to shiny glass
