Never really saw any benifit for me from it. But...
Never really saw any benifit for me from it. But then again I think a well done 8K razor is really comfortable though going finer can make it easier to sneak up on the perfect edge.

They do have to be lapped, I lap them with 1000 grit wet/dry paper on a flat surface, (glass bed, granit slab even the kitchen counter if needed). -
