Thanks Joed... I was trying to find a term to describe the shine of the surface under the minimal staining... Got any advice there? Not mirror-finished, but mirror-reflective?

Jeremy, Not dave, and bring it on! I just finished buffing this one, and I got it to a WONDERFUL finish, but the words Damascus Steel and the whorls are still there :D
