It shouldn't. Any tack welds should be on the outside of the billet and small. Usually they either burn off as scale, or they stick to one of the ends that have to be cut off anyway.

Let's put it like this: it's a meeting with an active workshop, more akin to a playground. There are razor makers there, running around, doing various things that may or may not be related to razors....

I'll have to check, but I think I still have a video of quenching that anvil, that I never uploaded.

I continued work on the billet at home. It's 13 layers now. I have put the meteorite damascus project on hold until my press is up and running.
