My new to me 1920s Eveready. Cleaned up corrosion, put in new insulation, now it is working fine. I put in rechargeable batteries, and a warm white led bulb.

I am more excited...

That looks like a very cool flash light, now I will have to be on the lookout for a classic looking light to convert.
