I think that you're spot on. It may have been made as an exhibition piece and never intended to be used. Time will tell.

I have a thing for French razors. Any country that can make TI, Le Grelot and Le Jaguar razors had to be doing something right. Anyway I've always kept my eye out for other interesting looking razors...
