I've already got most of the oxidation off with some elbow grease and some 800 and 1000 grit wetordry but I know just the place where I should be able to find denicare - excellent... -

Pics attached...scales are, indeed, horn by the way and the thing is over a quarter of an inch thick where the stamp is..which is the only mark on it.
