How true. Some of these razors can be a real challenge.
I would hone those micro chips out of the blade. I have a 30x loup that has really helped me see what is going on when I work on the edge....

Charlie, those smaller razors 3/8s or so are harder to keep pefectly flat than a wider blade.
You might try gently resting your finger on the flat of the blade when making your honing passes.
