i find the artist club blades to be much sharper than the feather double edged blades.. i do not cork the DEs.. though the artist club blades get run twice along a cork before first use..

i'm strictly an ac user and yes.. lay the blade much flatter than you would any other straight.. instead of the standard 30 degrees.. go with 5..

keep a very light touch... pretend you're shaving...
