It is a strong, natural smell. Not really the burning hair of horn though.
A dental hygienist neighbor of mine, stopped by once while working bone and said it smelled like I was drilling teeth. -

sure would be nice if had a belt sander to rough...
sure would be nice if had a belt sander to rough sand, but understand that is not the available tool.
If using a dremel, I would want to secure the motor to the bench so I could hold the scales...
