You are probably right it is some kind of synthetic. This hone is so soft that is falling apart. Oh well, i will keep looking for another one.

I lapped this stone under running water and it become even softer.
I can raise slurry (not very thick) by rubbing it with my fingers and... -

Hi Lads.
I was thinking that this stone is a old natural combo coticule but i am bit confused. It is extremely soft and i can make a slurry very easily even with my fingers .When i was lapping it...
