Thanks for the advice. I didn't see this until just now and shaved today. I did use the Fusion to do the last of the chin, but made a couple of passes at it anyway. Things are better....

Well, I started with the chin today and noticed a little improvement. Not sure if that was due to the blade being fresh(er), my angle being much more shallow, the buffing technique or just overal...

I wondered about a mid-shave strop. I think tomorrow I'm going to try the chin first and see if that helps. I think I'll lather only the chin and leave some dry area around to helps withe S T R ...

Thanks for all of the great advice here. My first few shaves were almost too easy and once I declared my chin off-limits, it was great. But Sunday was...uh...not great.

Please post here what you try and the results. If I can fix this and learn some patience, I'll be a real live straight razor shaver.
