I was thinking either stropping or shaving technique. I do strop before each shave.

Has anyone else had their technique get worse first though? I don't really know what could have caused that.

My problem with these theories is that I continued shaving with other razors in the mean time. Wouldn't I notice a change in all razors? It is also strange that it got worse first.

That would make sense as since then I have discovered better soaps and creams.
