Finishing can be a loaded question, but I like CA for most scales. Just on teak scales I have finished with oil, CAN poly and epoxy.

Teak? Only about a thousand man hours.
Great wood, easy to work, yet durable.
A little oily, wipe well with acetone before finishing.
