None taken...In fact, I use CarrieM's cremes alone for superlather and in combination with soaps and glycerin to make uberlather.

She has awesome cremes...I haven't tried the sassafras though

It's not a true breakdown...And it depends on how hot the thing gets. I never had problems with my lather truly breaking down, so to speak, to a point of being unusable. If it does somehow fall part...

Yes...that's the basic idea with all of these toys. As long as one is weary of the temperature.
