I would agree, the CG seems faster but not quite as fine.

I've been using GT85 which is similar to WD40 but with PTFE added. It works well but I have also used mineral oil on my DT and that worked well too.

Well last night I used the WT to touch up the edge of my Dovo Prima Silver steel. I tried that one with GT85 (a light oil with PTFE) and it worked a dream.

As I said it was an impatient test, my view is that starting with slurry will tend to bring the edge to that of the stone better.

An impatient test after laping: Taking an already honed razor taken to Naniwa 12K and giving it 20 laps on slurry, then dilute and another 20 then rinse and do 40 laps on just water.

Well today I've received a few hones from AJ, primarily to do a direct comparison of the performance of the Green and Purple from the Tri Hone Set but he has also sent me the possible cutlers green...

So how are people rating the Green Stone against the Purple one? I'm tempted to order one of them and it seems to me that the purple one is getting more "love" than the green one, but that could well...

Self fulfilling prophesy anyone? I see the seller has 3 stones listed as possible silkstones and some listed as possible cutlers green! ( well only one possible CG left now)
