I'm pretty much doing what you suggested, I have three razors right now...a vintage Wosti pipe razor, a Clauss USMC and another Clauss that I picked up on ebay...

I don't mind buying a pasted strop or a barbers hone or any other honing device, but it would be nice if I could do it on my combo stone for simplicities sake.

I tested out Slartibartfast's advice...

I did in a PM but his answer was a bit vague for me...I'm sure he gets thousands of emails/PM's a day so he probably can only allocate a few moments for a response. I don't want to pester him.

Do you know if Lynn sets the bevel with black tape and should I put tape on as well?
