There was a time when humans didn't wear shoes either...some still don't. Never had my tonsils out, but I do remember a few other surgeries I had when I was quite young.
But as said..different...

I guess for me, and I stress FOR ME, it comes down to the old adage of walk a mile in their shoes, animal or not...would you do it to yourself? Would it matter how quick you heal?

Competent or not...think of what it entails. I actually commend people that go with not surgically enhancing the look of the animal..because in the end it so serves no real purpose than to visually...
