Yesterday I did a little more lapping on my Kasumi hone on some finer grit W&D and then gave my Dovo I.MoP another touch up, since it seems I may have been using the 3k side like an 8k.
I can now...

I'll have to remember that. I'll be double checking any hones I buy in future.
Lucky you went by what the box read and not the stone...That and experience probably played a hand no doubt.

Well, bugger me! That explains why my touch ups have been a tad off. The sticker don't actually say anything...I asked it to say something. But it does read amd how it reads is White Fine Grit #3000....

The Yella side is the 3k and the white side is the 8k...Please tell me I haven't honed arse about face... :)

I bought a 1k/6k and a 3k/8k combo off Everten and a 12k from Classicshaving that I have since been told would have been cheaper had I known of CARBA-TEC...Live and learn though.
