Similar in hardness to a hard Coticule or common slate, not as hard as a "Dragon Tongue."

It definitely is not a marbleized stone like the one shown.

You are looking at it!! I honed the bottom from a slight dish.
Odd one and does not match any of my other UK type hones. Not Charnley for sure nor Schwedenstein.
