Livi recommends lighter fluid for cleaning the leather. Did you try that on the CrOx
or did you go to WD-40 first?

Yes, it is. I don't know if that is the original application of CrOx, by Mastro Livi,
but by the time I got it, it had way too much paste...cracked, lumpy, useless.
