Using softer leather like cowhide, would someone use less pressure than horsehide. The strop I have is from Whippeddog. I think it is bridle leather.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I think I have a better idea about stropping. I will keep a lookout for STROPTOBER, that should be interesting.
